Responsible for build, configure, integrate, administration, automate and troubleshooting database environments. Ensure data availability and scalability along with consistencies across all nodes by building and managing MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Big Data clusters with replication solutions over on-premises and cloud environments. Tuning of MySQL & PostgreSQL instances, databases and OS configuration parameters for overall application performance improvements for better and faster results of regular jobs and reports. Automate database & application code deployments using Devops tools. Languages, skills and tools: Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform and containerize with Docker, Kubernetes. Securing data in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Big Data clusters by implementing authentication and authorization, encryption, capacity scheduler, node labels and cgroups. Skills required: MYSQL, PostgreSQL, Hadoop, HBASE, Spark, Kafka, Linux, Shell Script, Python, AWS/GCP, GIT, Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. Education: Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or any related field with 1 year of experience in job offered or related occupation is required. Bachelor’s degree in any of the above fields along with 5 years of experience in job offered or related occupation is acceptable in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 1 year of experience. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable. Work location: South Plainfield, NJ and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
